  • 1.  Open Format Cookie -- valid use case?

    Posted Apr 13, 2017 12:01 PM

    Hi,

We have a need to encrypt some of the web agent responses being passed to a few backend application servers. To accomplish this, it would seem I could encrypt the responses needed via the Open Format Cookie (OFC).

To help with performance/caching I'm thinking I could set the expiration of the OFC cookie and the cache timeout values to be roughly 10 minutes.

Does anyone see any caveats with using the OFC for this scenario?   (I realize this is not the intended use case.)

    Cheers, Jim

    Hi Jim,

Please take a look at below KB article which has all the steps to configure OFC.

How to configure Open Format Cookie and consume it

    Thanks,

    Sharan

I've reviewed that article and the following link within the article dead ends regardless of being signed in or not. Here is the link for reference.
