    Hi All,

We have an environment which is going to upgrade windows from 32bit to 64bit OS and in process i've to re-install Siteminder 12.5 on a system which already has Siteminder 12.0 .
I was thinking if i could create a backup of my current siteminder & policy server configuration for future use?
While searching for it i stumbled upon the link :-

    https://support.ca.com/cadocs/0/CA%20SiteMinder%20r6%200%20SP6-ENU/Bookshelf_Files/PDF/siteminder_upgrade_enu.pdf

This upgrade guide states a few points for consideration. Anyone would please help me with the backup process?
I need to have backup of all the settings if possible.

    Regards
    Hridyesh

    Hi Hridyesh

I understand you are planning to upgrade your environment to 12.5 .

Refer the below link , where End of Service CA SiteMinder r12.5 is on March 31, 2017.

    https://www.ca.com/us/services-support/ca-support/ca-support-online/product-content/status/announcement-documents/2015/ca-siteminder-r12-5-end-of-service-announcement.html

    Consider upgrading to latest versions.

    12.6

    12.52

    Hi Leo ,

Thanks for the input,i did go through the document and found my case matching parallel upgrade i.e. from 12.0 to upper versions.
I would appreciate it if you may help me understanding the procedure of taking backup for using it in upgrade for any version.

    Regards,
    Hridyesh

    Hi Hridyesh,

Also perform a backup of policy store via Database backup/restore functionality(eg ldif export/odbc backup/ file system backup etc). In case if we are unable to import your policy store export via SiteMinder import tools.
