  • 1.  Enhancing ConnectorService Alerts

    The SOI manager creates alerts (Source:  CA:09997_*) for abnormal domain connector states.  For example, if a connector is stopped, that results in a Severity Down alert, and other states such as loading/initializing/waiting result in a Severity Major alert.  However, in all cases, the "Name" field of the alert is always "Unknown".  I would like to modify the "Name" field and possibly the alert severity.  I suppose that "Event Policies" would be the normal place to modify alerts, but I'm unable to find these alerts using the event policy tool.  I think that it's because the source is the SOI manager and not a connector.
    Would anyone have a suggestion for this?

    I didn't state it in my posting, but the SOI version is 4.2

    Maybe the issue has something to do with the SOI self monitoring.  I guess that I'll need to open a support case.

    Hello Brian,

    Mostly SOI self monitoring CI doesn't exist, hence the alert name field has "Unknown".
    Please check this KB article to recreate this CI
