  • 1.  Slow queue processing...Anyone else have this issue?

Anyone else have this issue? Whenever we get an alarm storm or connectors are restarted, SOI just loves to take it's time processing alarms. Today we had a storm, started about 8-9am this morning and it's now 11:00am but still 13,000 items stuck in queue. The average change in queue size is about 10 every 5 secs. At this rate, it's going to take an insane amount of time to process everything thus causing significant delays for all other alarms.

I've already opened a case on this but apparently this is "nothing" that can be done.

    Hi FueY

I had a similar problem at some point and it was mainly due to a poorly maintained database and inadequate hardware resources (memory, cpu, etc) on the server.

You might also want to try starting your services and connectors one at a time. Good luck.

SOIs performance on processing alerts and cis is poor. We faced the same problem several times. Solution

    1. A lot of time :-)

    2. Restart of SAM Application Service.
