Multiple Projection Sheets for Same Device from Same Connector?

    SOI shows 2 UIM projection sheets for the same device - one as a Generic IP Device and one as a Computer System. We only have one UIM connector. If SOI is correlating these as the SAME device, is this pointing to a potential problem?

    Hi Brian,

     

    this is no problem.

    When multiple probes monitor the same device in UIM, they often add multiple entries into the UIM database, finally referring to the same device.

    The SOI UIM Connector is picking up all of these CIs and correlates them together.

    SOI needs all projections, because each UIM probe reports against its own one.
