  • 1.  Reports link in SOI GUI - Logon denied: You do not have the right to logon to the application

    hi All,

    our reporting is partly working fine = when we click on any chart in SOI GUI (v3.3), we get the correct CABI report in PDF format (without filling in any user credentials).

    however, if we click on the Reports link (top right corner in SOI GUI), then we are redirected to http://x.x.x.x:8080/InfoViewApp/logon.jsp  and asked for authentication.
    with the same credentials that we use for login to SOI, we get an error message:
    "Logon denied: You do not have the right to logon to the application"

    although the users have the CA reports and SAM reports group assigned (checked in BOXI console).

     

    do you have any idea what the root cause could be?

    Hi Stefan,

     

       Are you using an external directory? e.g Active directory. Has

    "Microsoft Active Directory Forest"  been set in the EEM LDAP configuration panel?

     

    If so "Basic LDAP" need to be set after deleting "Microsoft Active Directory Forest" .

     

    "Microsoft Active Directory Forest"  is not supported. Please refer to the link below.

    Hi Paul,

     

    the Configuration Type in EEM is set to Basic LDAP Directory so this requirement should be fine.

    Hi Stefan, It could be that the security/permissions have been corrupted somehow.

     

    Is there any improvement if you remove the CA Reports (Viewer or Admin?) group from the user?

    Hi Paul,

     

    it's very weird, but after removing and adding back the SAM Reports group to the user(s), it started working fine.
