  • 1.  error in CSV file from capman_da collects from vmware

    Hi Everyone.

    I have done the integration between CA UIM and CA CapMan.

    In CA UIM, I have enabled capman_da probe to get information about vmware probes. I have just one vCenter configured in vmware probe.

    When I open the created CSV file : ***_vmware_server_XXXX.CSV I see the data on "server name" column like a entire name, like: "Datacenter1/Cluter1/vm-abcd.com.br" (prefix+hostname). It is adding Data Center prefix and Cluster prefix from vCenter configuration to hostname. The correct is just the hostname, eg, "vm-abcd.com.br" and NOT "Datacenter1/Cluter1/vm-abcd.com.br".

    In Capman, when I poll information from CA_UIM_VMWARE data source, it brings wrong name (entire name). It is causing a mess.

     

    Could you help me?

    what version? Latest version uses a thrift service push instead of CSV.

    Are those server names making it into Data Manager?

    The data should be populating in the Data Manager database in the 'pre_staging' tables.

    Then the data adapter pulls from the pre-staging tables into the normal staging tables.

    Hi,

     

    Follow the link, It shows the parameters where I have set up to change Multi-tenant option into vmware probe (UIM).     No, the issue is resolved. It was the multi-tenant settings in UIM.
