SOI needs to be able to alert/notify that a catalyst connector has changed states, for example normal-failed, normal-stopped, this can either be an SMS, Email or Service Desk ticket.
Secondly, the Catalyst connector could do with a heartbeat feature so that it can detect if the manager server, CA Spectrum, CA APM etc goes down and again raises an alert via email, SMS or Service Desk ticket.
This would enable some level of 'self-monitoring' and enable alerts to be raised should the components fails, without the need for someone to be constantly logged in to the SOI console.
