  • 1.  Does SOI 4.2 can Integration Google Earth by CA_SAM_Services.kml file?

    Hi,

    I have upgraded SOI from 3.2 to 4.2 but the CA_SAM_Services.kml no longer update from SOI 4.2. Is SOI 4.2 no longer integration with Google earth?

    Hi Sam,
    SOI don't support Google Earth anymore because Google dropped support for it. SOI 4.2 now supports Google Map instead. You'll have to pay Google and get a API key to use this feature. All are documented in SOI pdf guide and here is a link to that

    Google Earth is no longer supported by Google. SOI 4.2 now uses Google Map and users have to pay Google to get an API key which is required for integrating Google Map with SOI. This is documented in the SOI 4.2 pdf guide, here is the link

    Hey Shaheen.

    We were using Google maps prior to applying the latest patch and now our services view is not working.  We do have a API key and it's in the file as the doc recommends.  

    Has this been see before?

    Hi RJ,
    What exactly do you see when you click on the "Map View" on SOIUI? Look in to the CA\SOI\SamUI\logs\soiuis-debug.log and search for Google and you should see SOIUI loading CA\SOI\SamUI/webapps/sam/googleAPI.config. If there are error then you should see them here as well.

    Hi there Shaheen.

    Looks like when I applied the patch; it over wrote the google cfg files.  I have recopied the API key into the config file and modified the googlemap.js file with the old coordinates.  We are able to see the services as we were previous to applying the latest SOI patch.

    Looked into the logs and everything is good now.

    Google Earth is no longer supported.
