    Hi!
As a Workspace Admin, I get a User tab where I can select a person and add them to projects (let's say as Editor). In this mode, if I add them to a higher level branch in the project hierarchy, it cascades to all projects below automatically... very handy.
I was talking to a colleague today who is a Project Admin in Rally. It seems that he does not have this same cascading ability. If he adds a person to a project (let's say as Editor), it does not cascade to the child projects.
Is there a trick we don't know or is this as designed?

    Hi Eugene,

Unfortunately, it is down to the app that is doing the work whether it supports cascading. In this case, the 'user' update app that workspace admins have access to is coded to have it. To say it was 'designed' that way , might be stretching it a bit.

As an alternative, you might want to consider the custom app developed a while ago by our Technical Services team here: https://github.com/RallyTechServices/user-utilities/tree/master/bulk-user-update-app. It is a little more friendly....

Sorry Eugene, the 'full-stop' became part of the link for some reason. Take that out and it should work.

Would be great if there was an option to prevent replacing higher access.
The use case is when you have a 5 or 6 nested deep hierarchy, and need to assign a person (current project admin on nodes 5 and 6) editor at the top node so they can link features to initiatives. Using the user tool, it would replace their PA access to editor.

As a workaround, we are using a bulk utility and adding myself as the second person (since it has those options). This is a great utility, however, it only allows for 200 people at a time.

@Eugene Kania Are they adding them from the user side (which allows cascading) or from the project side, which only allows one by one updates?

As Project Admins, I do not believe they have access to the User side.
So, they use the Project side where there is no cascading.
Is there a way to cascade from the Project side or is there a plan to have that?
