How can I view which custom fields are available for which Projects?

We tend to get requests from multiple portfolio areas for 'custom fields' to facilitate team level boards or custom needs for a specific train.  When I look at the list of custom fields, I want to know which teams are actually seeing those fields.  The field itself only tells me the number of projects for which the field is displayed, and only in the project area I am viewing.  It would be a nightmare to manually figure this out.

 

Wondering if there is an extract or app available that would help me discover which teams see which custom fields?

An additional thought -- you might consider adopting a naming convention that includes something in the field name to suggest which project/program requested the field.
