We are excited to announce our new Third Party Context feature for Agile Central.

This new feature is now available in Open Beta.

Do you envision a world, where you can easily access any context related to your work items from Agile Central? What if you could view and connect to your pull requests for a specific work item directly from Agile Central? Third Party Context provides just that.

Third Party Context enables our Agile Central users to easily see and navigate to all of the context related to a work item, even if that context lives outside of Agile Central.

Our initial, first increment supports GitHub pull requests.

    How does this work?

First, you will have to install and set-up our VCS Connector for GitHub (Agile Central VCS Connector for GitHub version 1.3.0). You can find the necessary information in our  Help documentation.

Once you have the connector set-up and configured, you can access the GitHub pull-request information from a work items Quick Detail page.

We added the new Third Party Context ‘globe’ icon to our Quick Detail pages. A count will indicate, if connections data is available for a specific work item.

Clicking the globe icon will open the connections collections page, where the user can access any GitHub pull request data related to the work item in question. From there the user can link directly to the GitHub pull request.

Please note that Third Party Context data is non-editable, since the external source is the source of truth. You can access the Third Party Context Help Page here.

Please use the 'Feedback' button on the connections page (image above) to let us know your thoughts about this new feature.

    Thank you.

    Best,

    Andrea
