  • 1.  CA SDM up-gradation from 14.1 to 17.2 failed

    Hello,

    I am testing up-gradation of CA SDM from version 14.1 to 17.2.
    The Up-gradtion process is getting failed at " "Applying CA Servicedesk Manager MDB Updates(s):17.1 " stage with the error shown in below SS.
    I have checked in install.log and found some error related to MDB upgrade script.
    I have attached the log here ,with the discussion.

    Kindly let me know can i resolve the error.

    I noticed the following error(s):

    2020/01/20 10.35.33.108 DEBUG [DeployThread: Applying CA Service Desk Manager MDB Update(s) : 17.1 ] [CommonProcessUtilities] findcommon.bat
    2020/01/20 10.35.33.109 DEBUG [DeployThread: Applying CA Service Desk Manager MDB Update(s) : 17.1 ] [CommonProcessUtilities] Error creating or opening D:\Program Files (x86)\CA\Service Desk Manager\patches\cum1/findcommon.bat [5:Access is denied.]

    Seems like a permissions issue of some sort. Are logged in to the server with a local admin user or a domain account with administrator rights?
