  • 1.  CA Catalog - Direct link to a request in edit mode - Login problems

    Posted Sep 02, 2020 04:13 AM
    Hi,

    following situation:
    - We have an e-mail generated in PAM. This e-mail includes a link to a request in service catalog and opens in edit mode.
    - This mail is send to few people who are allowed to edit the request.

But before we can be forwarded to the request we have to login first. After I entered my credentials I´m forwarded to the request in edit mode.

How is it possible for us that we don´t need to enter our credentials everytime? I will just click on the link and see the request, login should be done automatically.

Anybody an idea how it goes?

    Regards,
    Fabian

    Hi Fabian,

What are your settings for Administration --> Configuration --> Single Sign On Authentication?

    Hi Lindsay,

    we have NTLM enabled.

Signle Sign-On-Typ -> NTLM (NT Lan Manager)

We can auto-Login in the Service catalog but not about the link. Only after we have manually logged in.

    Regards,
    Fabian

    Hi Fabian,

The only thing I might suspect is that the url is not correctly formatted. This works for me every time:

    http://servername:8080/usm/wpf?Node=icguinode.requestprofile&Args=12345

(assuming you are using the default port 8080, use your own servername and Request number)

    Hi Fabian,

No, that sends me to the login page which shows the error: Either you lack sufficient authorization or your session may have timed out.

    Cheers,
