17.2 RU 06 txt-attachment not shown in own window

Hi,
testing an upgraded SDM environment (17.1 RU 03 --> 17.2 RU06 - German).
Attachment - Upload seems to work correct when attaching txt-file to a cr-object.

When clicking txt attachment in attachment-Tab - Tab is overloaded with txt-content, no new window opened.

Productiv system which is still 17.1 RU 03 it works ok.
Cross-check on other customers 17.2 RU 06 txt opens new window.

Problem occurs for GC and IE, FF not checked.

Any idea where I could look for solution/workaround?

Hi Peter,

Maybe check if the .txt files are not prohibited on the repository?

Is the problem only seen with txt-file or all files after the upgrade?

What happens when you try to download the file instead of opening it directly?

thanks for your answer.
Meanwhile I found a workaround as posted.
What I cannot understand is that the web.xml (17.2) compared with production (17.1) didn't change but behavior did.

The problem is that no window opens when link is clicked and you have to set parameter in web.xml to be asked by browser what to do (download/open).

Do you have any idea why, now, link does not open window, why it overwrites attachment-tab when not changing parameter in web.xml?

I found a workaround for it:

after adding txt in web.xml it works (better):  NX_ROOT\bopcfg\www\CATALINA_BASE\webapps\CAisd\WEB-INF
<param-name>save_as_dialog_ext</param-name>
     <param-value>mp3,eml,doc,zip,gz,tar,xls,rtf,ppt,pps,msg,jpeg,jpg,png,txt</param-value>

Better would be, clicking link opens window directly.
