  • 1.  17.2 Knowledge Import errror with pdm_kit or GUI

    Hi,
    we want to transport knowled-documents from on 17.2-System to another 17.2 System. Both have RU01.

    While import we receive the same errors on different target-machines:

    Hello Peter,

    The English base message is:

    'AHD11005:This file type may not be uploaded.'

    1) Try opening up the Prohibited File Types list so that there are no exclusions - even if the ".png" type is not excluded - and see what happens:

    2) Are you able to rename this Knowledge Document and try again? Maybe the length or special characters in the name on a German system is tripping it:

    3) Can you exclude this Knowledge Document from the export/import and get the rest across?

    4) Given that this is ITSM 17.2, it is possible that there is an issue here on this version.  But if it is a reproducible problem, narrowing it down as above may help. If you can turn this into a reproducible issue (Eg A .png file on a German install of ITSM 17.2 does not import even when not on the exclusions list) then feel free to log it with Support and we'll look into a patch. Note that we don't have any reports of this error recently on any version. For some known old issues that have been fixed, we need to go back to 
    ITSM 14.1 or earlier:

    thanks for your ideas

    1) cant find the GUI-Path described in docops:
    1. Log in to web UI from the following CA SDM servers, depending on your CA SDM configuration:
      • Conventional: Primary or secondary servers
      • Advanced availability: Application or background servers
    2. Select AdministrationAttachments Library, Prohibited Files Types of Attachments library. 

    3. Click Create New.
      The Create New File Type page opens.

    4. .....
    There in Attachments Library can only be found Attachments and Repositorys. Nothing else.

    Is the field meant one of the repository detail's fields? There is no create new file type.

    2) I shortening the path for the package - didn't help

    Other points we will try later and comment.
    Would be nice to get the info about which detail_xxx and which factory is used for xxx to find the

    Hi all,
    while importing Documents, png-Files have to be stored to Repository 'Bilder'(Images):
    There you have to add 'png' as allowed Type under 'invalid file types':
    With this add import runs.
