    Hi Team,

Is it possible to install Xflow on a different server than the Service Desk, on dedicated server ?

    Thank you!

As far as I can see, there is no restriction as to which server to install xFlow on. You can pretty much install it on a remote server, other than the Service Desk server.

Please note that in Advanced Availability (AA) mode, the xFlow Interface can only be installed on an Application Server.

    "The CA
    xFlow Interface
server is deployed only if you have installed CA Service Desk Manager in your environment.
    For
    conventional configuration
, it is recommended that you install the
    xFlow Interface
     server on a secondary server.
    Advanced Availability
     users can only install the
    xFlow Interface
     server on an application server."

Documentation could be misleading on this because of the word "recommended" in sentence "For
    conventional configuration
, it is recommended that you install the
    xFlow Interface
server on a secondary server." What it actually means is that you can install xFlow on your primary SDM server of conventional configuration. If you want to install it on a dedicated server on conventional configuration, it is mandatory to install secondary server for SDM first on that dedicated server and after that you can install xFlow interface.
