  • 1.  Custom field to save numeric values with decimals (double data type)

    Posted Jan 29, 2019 11:41 AM

We have added a new field to the object cr (zcustomfield), a field of data type Double but the saved values are discarding the decimal part.

How could we force the decimal part to be saved?

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards,

    JOHN

    John,

What release of SDM is this one?

We recently worked on a defect in a Localized SDM 14.1.05 where a similar problem was seen.  You could raise a case with Support and have one of us take a stab at it.

    thx

John, SDM works better with string  so one option is to change your custom attribute to string rather than double. And yes there will be some extra work later if you want to manipulate this field like sum/average/max/min etc. My 2cents. Thanks _Chi
