I have changed the code for group in detail_cr.htmpl that "make_required=yes".
But it is not happening while raising a request.Without group field ticket is getting closed which should not happen.

Do you see any error messages in the stdlogs? Could you paste the update code in this activity for us to validate how it was customized. Ideally "make_required=yes" will enable any filed to mandatory.
Have you tried pdm_webcache in your server and checked the behavior? If needed, Clear the browser cache and open a new browser and test the scenario once again.
Let us know the results.

Hi Jagatjyoti,There are options "require_incident_group" and "require_request_group" in Options Manger under Request_Mgr. By default, it is Not Installed out of box.Regards,Derek
Is the file in a form group? If you're in the Admin role, there may not be a form group assigned. Try selecting the role using that form group. Happens all too often. :-)
As you mentioned that this has been resolved, I will mark this one as answered. However, if you could, please provide the solution you had determined as the correct course of action.
We can do such from detail.in.htmpl page as "make_required=yes" for group .
Strange to here that you made the changed in detail_in.htmpl (Incident) detail form and the issue is resolved in Request?
