  • 1.  The expression type is not compatible with the object type in CA universe

    Posted Jan 05, 2017 06:20 AM

The call_req table has a column named zlocation with the inputs such as "0xAFC5C0D21B2C6E42BB31CBCFAE02FDD6" . Now , we need to add this column to the universe .But while adding this object with the field as casd.cr.zlocation  , the following error is coming:"The expression type is not compatible with the object type" for all the datatypes(character, date, long text, number).

How can this be resolved ?

    Hi Sanketkumar

You would have to use attribute aliases for such. I don't think he location Id is of any much use here but location name/symbol might be

An approach similar to this one would be needed for you to display the name or other fields related to zlocation.
