    hi all,

Hi already a case for this situation but it may take time. May be one of you have already faced with the same problem and reply me before CA support. If I can find the problem, I'm gonna try migration this night again.

I've done the upgrade 2 times on test environments (similar with prod) before the attempt on production environment last night.

I haven't received any error which I got last night.

I have a 12.5 environment with 2008R2 windows server and a seperate 2008 SQL Server.

At the beginning of migration, I enable 8dot3 filenaming from registry, and checked with FSUTIL query where if it applied to disk or not

Almost at the beginning of migration, it exists the installation with exit code -1

As I checked the logs, saw the lines below.

What might be the reason for that? Regarding to my guideline generated during test migrations, I'm not missing or skipping anything. I've walked all the same steps through

    Thanks for replies

    Good morning everyone,

the situation has been resolved with the help of CA Support. Despite there isn't any warning during configuration of migration setup, the problem caused by free disk space size. I've enlarged the free space on disk and the migration completed with success.

Thanks to Kavya from CA Support.

    Regards,

    Utku

Hi Utku - I was under the impression that the migration wizard would check the space to ensure you have adequate space available.  Did it not do so in this case?   If not, please let me know the case number as this is something I would like to bring up with my dev team to verify if the migration wizard does or does not have logic to check for adequate space - as it certainly should.

    Thank you.

    Hi John,

Yes the wizard has not show me any warning about disk space. 00288411 is the case number at CA Support.

    Thank you for your interest.
