  • 1.  Configure LDAP Sync mod file to Include Seven Characters

I have edited the mod file for LDAP to sync with a custom attribute in LDAP (Alias Field in SDM). The data type in LDAP is a String (although integers are the only value) and I was wondering how I could ensure that the full 7 numbers are in each record. A lot of them are prefaced with zero's but the zero's don't show up in Service Desk. I have confirmed that in the Attribute itself it is prefaced with zero's.

If you can show that the attribute in AD (or whatever directory you use) contains the leading zeros and that they're lost after the import/sync then I'd say you have a pretty clear case for CA support.

Depending on the technology used for the import/sync the zeros might be lost due to an accidental conversion from string to integer/decimal.
