  • 1.  web.cfg file on primary server getting overwritten on configure

    Posted Dec 16, 2015 02:12 PM

I have setup multiple web directors on the primary server for a unique customer requirement.  2 handle secondary webengines for US based users and 2 handle secondary webengines for UK based users.  I have updated the web.cfg.tpl file under $NX_ROOT/bopcfg/www with the appropriate UseDirector setting as well as the WillingnessValue and RedirectingURL values, but when I run pdm_configure, the web.cfg and primary-web2.cfg files get overwritten with default values.  Is there another template file somewhere that I need to update?

    Thanks,

    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

There's an additional template file in nx_root/samples/pdmconf.  Update the template file in this location to save changes during pdm_configure.

    Hi Kevin,

You didn't mention what version of SDM you are using. If it's 14.1, there is a fix available to stop certain web.cfg parameters like useDirector and RedirectingURL being overwritten at both startup and pdm_configure time. See this link for details of the associated problem.

Open a case with CA Support if you would like to obtain this fix.

    Regards,

    Gordon.
