Service Catalog from Mobile App ITSM

    Hello everyone,

     

    I am installing  a lab environment with SDM, Unified Self Service and Service Catalog.

     

    Everything is working ok with the web interface but when i go into the app i can not see the service catalog option from it. I can create requests without problem. I am using CASM user to login into USS and the app is pointed at http://<servername>:8050 which is the Port where REST web services were configured. Does anybody know if i have to perform some additional steps in order to visualize the service catalog from the app?

    Hi Larlu01,

     

    Was the integration of USS and catalog successful? If yes, then you should be able to create a request with the user selected service offering.

    Hi Raghu, unfortunately the problem is still going. The intengration was successful and the catalog is visible from USS in the web interface but we are not able to see it in the mobile app.

    Sorry, I misunderstood the original question.

     

    If you are using the app on a mobile device,  to see Catalog related items, one would have to point the app to USS URL  and not  SDM's :8050.

    Thanks Raghu, we are pointing it to USS URL port 8050 but we are not able to see it anyway. We also marked the Service Offerings as available from mobile but still no positive response.

    USS URL is normally unified self service sever URL which is http://USS-node:8686<http://uss-node:8686>

     

    Not http://SDM:8050<http://sdm:8050>

    When i point it to USS port 8050 it only displaysIMG-20160211-WA0018.jpg

    Sorry, when i pont it to USS-node:8686 it only displays the FAQ section.. no other options..

    Larlu01,

     

    This indicates to me that the app made a good connection into USS.

     

    It also seems to indicate that with in USS a  the Service Catalog and SDM  data sources are not enabled?   That's one reason why one would not see Analyst Queue and Tasks  tiles.

    Are you able to see Catalog Request items  when you use a regular browser against  http://USSnode:8686 ?  If so, they should be enabled already.
