Lookup field based on other lookup field (in list form)

Hello everyone,

 

I think this is a simple issue, but I'm not getting the hang of it. I'm editing list_in.htmpl, and I'm wanting to link two contact fields (customer and assignee) in a search by a same common attribute. It would work this way: if I select some contact for customer field, I would like to restrict the lookup of assignee based on customer's workshift (for example).

 

I think this can be solvable by some extraURL attribute on lookup field for assignee, and this URL would came from customer field. The question is: how to get the customer field value and place it on extraURL attribute of lookupField? Using some JavaScript code, maybe?

Hi Diogo,  Yes this would require custom javascript code.  CA Support would not be able to assist you on this, however, there may be some folks out here on the communities that have done something similar and would be willing to share it with you.
