  • 1.  Remote MDB

    Hello Team,

     

    I have two questions and please let me know if am unclear...

     

    We are installing SDM R14.1 and need to have a remote MDB. Till R12.7 we have the option to install MDB on a remote server and the installation should be done locally.

     

    Is it changed when comes to R14.1, cant I install ONLY MDB separately. ??

     

    And, we are looking for installing Catalog also how should I deal with MDB.

     

    And lastly, since we will have SDM and catalog is it required to have the Unified self service installed on a 3 rd server?

    Hello Naveen,

     

    Looks either some problem with the dump we have or its different in Service Management R14.1. I don't see install MDB. Can you suggest any thing. Below is the screenshot

    Were you able to browse the path E:\products\SDM\setup.exe highlighted in the above screenshot? If no, may be an issue with the media.

    Thanks Naveen, when I browse to Products\SDM\setup.exe I can see it but when directly run setup from the root folder I cant see it.

     

    Little confusing, do you know what does it exactly means.
