IP Address is not displayed under HOST node in Java Agent

  • 1.  IP Address is not displayed under HOST node in Java Agent

    Hello everyone,

    I have some Java Agents installed and they are sending metrics to my EM.  I can see these under my domain in the CA Workstation, but I have some agents without display the IP Address under the HOST node.

    Is there any additional configuration for this information to be displayed in CA Workstation?

    Hi,

    You are able to see metrics and the only concern is the IP is missing under the host for few of those agents. Can you share a screenshot for the same? 
    And this is happening with only few agents you said, did you compare both agent profiles(problematic and working )?

    In your screenshots, both agents are showing as clamped, there is a red ring around the pyramid next to the agent name.
    Metric clamps will stop metrics appearing so you should investigate the clamp situation, for example raising the clamp in the agent profile (introscope.agent.metricClamp) assuming this is only set to 5000, you could raise to 10000 and restart the application.

    If the clamp in the agent is already much higher, you have more than likely already got too many metrics reporting and should look to reduce them anyway.

    I'm not able to see metrics. I share below two screenshots, one of this issue and another with agent displaying the metric.
    Agent without IP Address Metric
    Agent with IP Address Metric

    In the both agent I'm using the same profile, where I did this to avoid exactly this behaviour, but it didn't work.
