  • 1.  StandAlone Agent PP for WebServer - Windows Service Registering

    Posted Sep 20, 2018 03:58 PM

After install the agent (v10.5.2 SP2), I am supposed to run the "RegisterWSService.bat" file so that a Windows Service gets registered but the logs says...

       FATAL  | wrapper  | 2018/09/20 14:46:57 | OpenSCManager failed - Access is denied. (0x5)

The AD service account I am using to login to this Windows Server 2012 R2 (VM) has admin privileges.

Any idea why it's not working?

Thanks in advance for any/all help.

    Cheers

    Manish

try either right-click on the batch to 'run as administrator' or run the batch from inside an administrator command prompt.

Actually, I already did it. Right click (run as Administrator) didn't work.

I ran the .bat file through command prompt which I "run as Administrator".

    Strange how MS security works
