30 Days average

Hi All,

I would like to create custom metrics with the average calculated in 30 days and put this metrics on the same graph of the corresponding “live” metric.

 

I was thinking to read the data using http rest service, calculate the average on every point and put back this new custom metric with epa agent but it does not seam very simple …

 

Have you done anything similar? Other suggestions?

Hi Daniele,

 

Option 1: Open two windows, one with live, one with 30 day historic and compare.

Option 2: do this with EPA: take a look at CA APM Web Services example and EPAgent 101: Use the SDK to Send Data to APM.

Hello Guenter,

yes I was thinking about using EPAgent Web Services but I was wondering if anyone has already done something like that, especially to calculate the average  .. I think it’s a common need to compare live metric with its 30 days or 1 week average, isn’t it?
