I heard back from Product Management.  8.5.5.9 has not been tested with IBM Java 8.  A CGR request will be needed here.

Out of curiosity, what is your test experience so far with WAS 8.5.5.9/Java 8?

Have you observed any exceptions or other missing metrics (out-of-the-box and/or with the WebSphere power packs)?
