In some Roadmap I thought I saw that SpringWS was going to be support in SOA Performance Management in 9.8 (which became 10.0). Looking at the 10.1 Compatibility Guide I do not see that it is supported there. Any new ETA?

I am using a SpringWS Field Pack that was originally built for Version 8 and included jar files for version 9. Is there an updated Field Pack available or will the one for version 9 work with 10.1?

This and REST are killing us...

    Hi Steve,

since 10.0 we are have support HTTP calls based on the following implementations:

    • Java URLConnection
    • Apache HTTPClient
    • Spring HTTPClient

See CA APM 10.0 Release Notes.

Have you tested one of your applications with APM 10.0 or 10.1?

This should provide metrics about all  REST applications based on those implementations. Which REST frameworks are you looking for in particular?

    Ciao,

    Guenter

I had the 10.0 agent running on these servers and the Spring WebServices were not exposed. So I went back to the 9.7.1 agent with the SpringWS Field Pack and they showed up. As mentioned, in the 10.1 Compatibility guide it does not show the Spring SOAP stack as supported:

The app team says they have not changed the implementation of the WebServices (these also show up in the 9.1.7 agent running production with the SpringWS Field Pack.

    Steve, I share your experience:

A customer doing a 10 upgrade reported that both the default 10.x agent and the addon no longer produce webservices.  Now the wrinkle for them was that they were using REST and CXF, but the CXF version was CG supported.

I contacted Andreas Reiss who owned the addon, but he was too slammed to review the autoprobe logs to see what had broken.

It's one of the fieldpacks that TS won't support yet, too.

    Steve,

I sent you the current Spring WS field pack. It is in the pipeline to be supported soon.

I guess you are mainly talking about the server side. Do you see the REST calls on the client side?

    Ciao,

Would it be possible for someone to post the most recent 'Spring WS field pack' somewhere that others of us could download?  I also have this need, and surely Steve and I are not the only ones.
