    Hi,

In the following example of the basic option, what does the size of data (40GB and 10GB) exactly mean?

    -10 Advanced (Script, Full-Page) 40GB monitors with a 5-minute check interval

    -10 Advanced (Script, Full-Page) 10GB monitors with a 5-minute check interval

    Hi Harry,

Let me give you an example.

When you setup an advance test (script or full-page) it will run periodically. If the volume of data retrieved monthly (calculated in the moment of the test setup) by the test is bigger than 10 or 40GB, it (the test) will not be accepted and ASM will suggest you to reduce the periodicity of the test (less executions less traffic)

    Make sense?

    Regards

    Hi Jose,

Thank you for the response. Could you correct my understanding?

    1. The size (10G and 40G) means the total amount of bytes which a script received as HTTP responses in a month on a checkpoint.

    2. If it is beyond the limit of the size(10G and 40G),  the customer will just only receive a email of waring it.

    Regards,

    Harry

    Hey Harry,

    not really.

when you record the test script you upload to ASM to setup the monitor. In that moment, ASM executes it and based on periodicity calculates the amount of traffic during a month. If under the limit, the monitor is created, but if not, ASM warms you to reduce the periodicity.

So, traffic limit is checked at the time of monitor creation.

    is clearer now?

    regards

Hello Jose, i'm looking information regarding ASM license. It's not clear for me the difference between "advanced monitor" and "RBM monitor".
    Is just regarding recording tool?
I could't find any useful information on the product page in broadcom website.
    thank you
