Crystal Reports runtime for CR for VS.  I received a runtime for CR from CA Plex support a few months ago.  I does not seem to work...for some reason CRViewer ActiveX control is not being registered.  Has anyone  successfully upgraded from Plex 6.1 to 7.2.1 using Crystal Reports...If so...any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

It has been a long time since we changed how we implement crystal reports.  Mostly because crystal reports didn't seem to continue support for the ActiveX viewer.
We contracted with CMfirst to develop a java based crystal reports engine. We run the application with Tomcat on our IBM I. Report requests are submitted using a URL and the reports are saved to the IFS. Then we use the browser to open the report from the IFS. (signle signon Kerberos makes this a lot easier for the users)

For us, we (along with CA tech support) determined that the Crystal XI r2 ActiveX report viewer control is not compatible with VS2013.  Our workaround was to have CR write the report to a PDF (a temporary file) when viewing was requested and then we display the PDF in a window with the PDF viewer control; when the window is closed, we delete the temporary PDF file.
