I am trying to increase performance of sql queries.
When using the system I navigator and under performance tools they suggests me to create a EVI index based on a table.
How do you create a encoded vector index (EVI) using plex6.1 Iseries db2? What will the triples be that you specify when creating a view to create a encoded vector index instead of a binary radix index.
You will need to create manually not with Plex "You create encoded vector indexes by using the CREATE ENCODED VECTOR INDEX statement."
You can use system I navigator to do this for you https://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/index.htm?info/sqlp/rbafymstopnaddindex.htm
Thanks for your response,
So what you are saying you cant create it using plex?
