    Hi,

I am required to virtualize a live web application and I wish to use the recording feature using HTTPS or TCP as a Transport protocol.

I needed to know whether the hostname and port of the server side application will be enough to capture the transactions and deploy my virtual service, or is there IBM MQ setup required for this scenario, and if yes what else is required.

    Hi Raj
First thing first, please find out the Transport and Data protocol used by your live application. Example for Transport protocol is : HTTP or TCP or Messaging (JMS/IBM MQ Native etc). Example for data protocol is REST/SOAP.

    Hi Raj,

Details required for recording are specific to the transport protocol.
Example: For a HTTP request, you may need Hostname, portnumber, ssl details whereas when it comes to IBM MQ, you will need a QM and Queue. For configuring a QM, you will need details like hostname, port, channel name, username, password etc.

    Thanks
