  • 1.  Running DevTest external DB in Oracle Exadata

    Hi,
Our DevTest infra has an Oracle backend running on standalone server. We are currently planning to upgrade to 19c and migrate to Oracle Exadata.  Looking at the official documentation, there is no mention about DevTest's support of oracle DB running in Exadata.
Please let me know if anybody has a similar setup of external Oracle DB in Exadata or if its not supported by DevTest at the moment..

Hello Roshan - As long as you are able to the Exadata machine in the same way you connect to your current Oracle database today, it should work.

    Hi Roshan,

As per my understanding, it doesn't matter where the DB is hosted (assuming you are still able to connect it using the same/similar connection string from devtest server).
You might need some support from your env/infra teams to get the connectivity established in this case.

    Thanks
