Virtual Service Metrics Reports stuck at loading

    Hi All,
This is my first post, please don't throw eggs at me for asking trivial questions.
Recently, we are no longer able to access the Virtual Service Metrics Reports from the DevTest Portal. When clicking of the "Virtual Service Metrics" on the DevTest Portal page, the "Virtual Service Metrics" tab opens with a blank page and "stuck"  with the "Loading" gif at the top of the page.
I've looked at the portal.log, portal-grails.log and found no errors, hoping for someone to point me in the right direction. Please note that I have accessed these reports before from the same VSE server and they were working with version 10.4. The reports function stopped working after "upgraded" to version 10.6.
    My setup:
OS: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.10 (Santiago)
    DevTest Version: 10.6
DB: Oracle Database 12c Enterprise Edition Release 12.1.0.2.0 - 64bit Production

Thank you for your time and knowledge.

    HI Long Ton
Please could you confirm if you are able to get data for other reports related to VSE ?

    HI Long Ton
In order to diagnose this further, please kindly follow the steps below:

    1. Go to registry machine and edit LISA_HOME/logging.properties file

Insert the following entry at the end of the file (last line)
    log4j.logger.net.sf.jasperreports.engine.query.JRJdbcQueryExecuter=debug

    2. Save this file

    3. Restart registry service

    4. Wait for couple of minues

    5. Login to Portal and reproduce the problem

    6. Share registry.log file from LISA_HOME/lisatmp_10.6.0 folder

    Hi Long Ton,

Are you getting errors only related to reports or in other functional behavior of DevTest portal?

    Thanks

    Hi Vaibhav,
There are no errors displayed on the portal for any of the reports. It just "stuck" with the loading gif spinning.

    Hi Long Ton,

As per my understanding, metric data is stored in DB and some logs from registry.log & vse.log files may help.

Also, Could you share the logs suggested by "Sankar Natarajan" to analyze it further.

    Thanks

    HI @Long Ton

If you are using Portal in SSL mode and you don't have Registry hostname entry in SSL certificate, then you will get this error.
Can you please check if that is the case.

    Thanks,

    HI Long,

Portal does registry hostname verification while loading the reports if running in SSL mode.
Now you have two options to solve that:
    1)  You can add registry hostname entry in the SSL certificate which you are using for the portal.
    2) You can disable hostname verification. You can add -Dzuul.sslHostnameValidationEnabled=false in Portal VM Options and run Portal.

After doing that just restart Portal. You will be able to see the reports.

    Thanks,
    Ashirvad Gupta

    Hi Ashirvad,
Thank you so much for looking into this and provided resolution options. Option 2 has fixed the issue but I'm still not sure why this issue occurred as the server's certificates used are issued by our PKI department and have included the host-name and all of its aliases (in the Subject Alternative Name).
Once again, thank you for your assistance. We'll use option 2 for the meantime but I'll work with the support team to resolve the issue with options 1.
    Cheers,
