Hi ,

What is the purpose of <validuntill> tag in devtest license file. 
We have purchased the permanent license already. what if we don't replace new license file after the expiry date. will the ED and Registry works as expected.

That tag denotes the date the license file will expire. Following that this license file will not work. After you buy the product, there is a renewal after a particular time which is mostly noted in the tag you mentioned. It could be after 1 year or 3 years. After that you need to request a new license file.

Is it not perpetual/perm license with respect to usage or allowing the software to run? Only the support should expire not the perpetual license. Right?

Yes perpetual license will remain (forever) but license file will need to be renewed before there did the date noted in the tag in the license file.
