  • 1.  Application Insight - best practice / Uses and benefits

    Hi All,

We are trying to explore application insight and here are a few of the question on which needed expert advise:

1 We tried JBoss_LISAbank agent which was already configured within the portal.
2 With this we were able to perform simple action in LISA bank( like creating an account) and then the transaction were available "Analyze Transaction" tab.

1 Assuming that the application under test is a SAP , how and where do we get the agents to install.
2 Could you please provide us the different agents available within Devtest and the procedure to install them.
3 What is the best practice and how effectively to use the Application Insight.

The main intent here is to use application insight during the assessment phase to analyze the application workflow and also to get RR pairs and if possible create VSE and baseline tests.

All your inputs in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Anil,

    For IDOC/JCo,

You don't have to install any agent on the SAP systems. Java agent will be configured on Java application and observes the call and generates a corresponding path that can be viewed in DevTest Portal.

    For ERPConnect:

    It supports, following .Net versions

    • .NET 3.0 - v3.0.4506
    • .NET 3.5 - v3.5.21022

Copy the following files from the LISA_HOME\agent directory to the directory that contains the executable

    • LisaAgent.dll
    • NativeAgent32.dll
    • NativeAgent64.dll
    • LisaAgentLauncher.exe
Post that execute LisaAgentLauncher.exe /i command.

    Thanks.
