    Hi,

     

    I was working with LISA 7.5, but after it got upgraded to DevTest 8.4, all the buttons are shown as disabled. I have attached a document having the screenshot. Could anyone please help on this...?

    What userid are you using to login to the Workstation with?

    UserID: axs0169.

    This is private id, tagged against me. It's not shared.

    I am able to login with this but not having access to my web services, neither am i able to create new services.

    Not sure what you mean 'private' but if you have the admin rights to DevTest then please check your userid in the Server Console's User Administration area. If you do not have admin rights, whoever sets up the User Administration should be able to assist you.

    Let me know if we are missing something here.

    Please verify with your DevTest administrator if your userid asx0169 has the expected privileges to create new projetcs and virtual services. In DevTest 8.x usage of ACL became mandatory. ACL assigns roles and associated privileges to userids. Your userid must have the correct role assigned by your DevTest administrator to be able to create new assets/projects.

    This issue was because of the access which i was given for my application. If you open DevTest and click on the padlock at the left bottom, then a "Security Permission Tab" opens. Here for me, it was:

     

    User ID = *******

    Role 1:Guest

    ------Permissions------

    Start DevTest Workstation

    View a Suite

    View a Test Case

    -----------------------

     

    Instead, the Role 1 should be "SV Power", which was granted to me by the Enterprise team.
