The use cases for configuring a VSE recorder as a "Proxy" , instead of "Gateway"

    Though, the gateway is the "recommended approach", I wish to know more about the typical uses cases for proxy. Rarely, have i seen any customer wanting to configure the recorder as a "Proxy".. Any thoughts??
