  • 1.  Data masking option disabled in CA Portal manager

    Hi Team,

     

    After I login to the CA portal manager, under Data masking, the "Get Started" option is disabled and it is mentioned as "Fast Data Masker could not be found. Please ensure it is installed before using the Masking feature". Verified and confirmed that FDM is installed on the remote TDM server and it is functional. Not sure if there is anything else I need to check to enable this option.

     

    The version of CA Portal manager and FDM we are using is 4.7. Please let me know if you need any additional information from my end.

    Hi,

       So you installed FDM from the 4.7 install media onto the Portal server? If FDM is in the default location you should not need to make any changes.  If you installed into a differant directory you would need to edit this setting in the application.properties file:


    # Path to FastDataMasker installation
    tdmweb.TDMMaskingService.fdm.path=C:/Program Files/Grid-Tools/FastDataMasker/
