    Hi,

We are doing in-place masking using Fast Data Masker and have created masking maps (csv) for each table which contains one or more columns for masking.

Now we want to move towards in-flight. I wanted to know if there is any way that the csv files created from FDM can be re-used while masking from Data Maker so that we do not have to re-build the masking logic in transformation maps.

Is there any way that the csv can be translated into transformation maps by the tool itself? or any other suggestions to avoid the rework of building masking logic.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Ruchi,

    Sorry for the delay.

There is no automated way to translate an FDM Masking CSV into a Transformation Map within Datamaker.

Datamaker doesn't support 100% of the functions that are supported in FDM (for example, SQLFUNCTION is not available in Transformation Maps).

Might be best to submit an Idea for this request...

    Regards,
