Upgrade 32 bit Linux OS to 64 bit , harvest broker currently in 32 bit Linux

Hi,

 

In our Premises, CA Harvest  12.5 (32 bit)Application is installed in 64 bit Windows server

 

And the Harvest Broker is configured in 32 bit Linux Machine.

 

Our security team wants to upgrade the 32 bit Linux machine to 64 bit machine. 

Will there be any impact if we upgrade Linux machine to 64 bit ? Please suggest !!!

HI Senthilnathan,

If you are upgrading the linux machine from 32 bit to 64 bit , it would be better to upgrade the Harvest r12.5 release also to the latest support release .

There are some 32 bit dependent libraries which need to exist on the machine and tested if it needs to work on 64 bit machine. If the libraries are not found,they need to be installed.It would be better option to try on a test box first.

Kindly note that r12.5 is an unsupported Harvest release.

To get the benefit of all the features of the latest CA Harvest SCM release and also 64 BIT versions ,request you to kindly consider and have a timeline to upgrade to CA Harvest SCM V 13.0.3 . Linux 64 bit support is also available in latest releases.
