We're trying to create a parameter of type predefined options. We want this parameter to contain two URL options for a source to retrieve a NuGet file from during deployment. The parameter scope we're trying to use is Environment but I don't think it matters for the issue. When adding the options, it appears that there's a char limit on the value that can be added for the options. After adding the two options the Save button in the Create Parameter window is greyed out.
To reproduce this create a new predefined options parameter. Click the List Editor icon next to the Options field. Click Add Before and enter "https://nuget.websource.com/nexus/service/local/nuget/groupone-nuget-read/", click Save. Back on the Create Parameter dialog box you should see that the Save button is not greyed out. Click the List Editor icon next to the Options field. Click Add After and enter "https://nuget.websource.com/nexus/service/local/nuget/pdn-nuget-releases/", click Save. Back on the Create Parameter dialog box you should see that the Save button is greyed out.
I did a bit of testing and it seems that it might be a total char limit of all the option values combined, i.e. if I use a made up shorter URL like "
https://nuget.websource.com/nexus/service1" I can add another option value "https://nuget.websource.com/nexus/service2" and the parameter can be saved, but if I try and add a third option value "https://nuget.websource.com/nexus/service3" then the Save button becomes disabled again.
Anyone else come across this issue? Or can someone from Broadcom confirm what the limits on this are?
