configure nolio agent runtime environment

Hi,

Is it possible to configure which java installation the nolio agent should use while running? is it the wrapper.conf file where i should change or is there any in-line parameter which i could specify while running the nolioagent?

Please, could you provide more details into your scenario as into why you wish to change the agents JAVA used during runtime?
Also, which customer site ID do you represent?

Hi Gouttierre,

Thanks for replying. The scenario is that there is a different java version installed on the server which is being used by other applications. Our customer wants to use the same java version for running the CA-RA agent. Is there a way to configure it at runtime. I know that it could be configured while installing the agent whether to use embedded java or to use pre-installed java. Is there a similar way to configure the runtime usage of Java?

I could further enquire about any specific reason for this but meanwhile, i would like to know whether it is possible in first place.

To the best of my knowledge, this cannot be done during runtime, but I will let our most experienced support engineers with the product confirm.

Out of curiosity, what version are you trying to switch between too?

1: What is the OS type on which agent is running?
2: As agent is bundled with it's own JRE, can you elaborate the functional requirement to switch to other JRE? objective to switch java

The CA-RA version is 6.6.9640
