  • 1.  Way to restrict unwanted RA agents getting configured to NES

    Hi,

Is there a way, that i can restrict the CA-RA agents getting configured with one of my NES? The scenario is, i want any agents starting with a specific IP address to be connected to NES2 and not to NES1. However, sometimes when user/admin configures CA-RA agents they by mistake configure it to connect to incorrect NES. How do i control it? Is there a way to put some restrictions around it?

    Best regards,
    Amit Joshi

    Hi Amit,

There is no way, that I'm aware of, to configure this within the product. I believe you would need to block the traffic somehow either through a network firewall or os firewall. I'm not sure if the agents that shouldn't report to NES2 are from a specific network address. But I believe you can define network address ranges in firewall rules.

    Kind regards,
    Gregg

Thanks for this info Gregg. Is there a possibility of adding this as a feature? Something like , adding some filter, which supports wildcards, in the config file on NES side?
