    Team,

In stead of going to http://patwi01-t4261:8080/datamanagement/index.jsp#/main/agent_assignment  and clicking on your server type, then clicking on the agent, then clicking the assign button, is there a way to get agents assigned automatically to a "default" server type?

There are some actions that can kind of automate handling of server assignment. Check these out: RA ROC Server Assignment Actions.

    James,

The documentation shared is about assigning servers.

I need to find how to assign agents...

Right - by "servers” the documentation means agents. For example, look under "ROC - Assign Servers”:

"This action can be used to assign agents to a step in a subsequent phase.”

Bill, did James' reply answer your question? If so, please mark it as correct. Thanks.

    Hi Bill,

I think that agent installations also have a assignment feature. It sounds like your agents are already installed - but for new agents coming online you might be interested in looking at the following settings (part of the silent install):

Deploy Agents - CA Release Automation - 6.5 - CA Technologies Documentation

nolio.agent.mapping.application=<Application to map the agent to>

nolio.agent.mapping.environment=<Environment to map the agent to>

nolio.agent.mapping.servertype=<Sever Type to map the agent to>

    Kind regards,

    Gregg
