  • 1.  Can we import custom action pack made in RDK 4.7 into RA 6.x?

    Posted Jul 12, 2017 06:35 AM

    I am trying to migrate content from one instance of RA 6.4 to another. First server was just successfully upgraded from 5.0.2. It includes a custom action pack which was developed in 4.7 RDK. While trying to import it in the second server I get following error:

    Could not create actions for path [actionslib] :

    Batch update returned unexpected row count from update [0];

    actual row count: 0; expected: 1;

    nested exception is org.hibernate.StaleStateException:

    Batch update returned unexpected row count from update [0];

    actual row count: 0; expected: 1

    What is the best way to overcome this obstacle?

    Hello Yashar,

     I can't think of if there can be any issue from what I can remember, but I must admit I have never tried it myself.

    In relation to above error you mentioned when you mentioned upgrade of Server 1,2 are you referring to execution server.

    May I ask you to share with us upgrade.log on this thread so we can look exactly what happened during upgrade step on failing server vs that of success server as it will give us some insight.

    Can you also provide some information about OS running on these server?

    Regards,

    Saurabh

    Hello Saurabh,

    Thank you.

    Both servers are an "all-in one environment". The OS is RHEL 7. During the upgrade we did not encounter any error. As it is a customer issue, can I send you the logs via email?

    Best regards,

    Yashar

    Hi Yashar,

      As Gregg is working on this with you at support level in case, would you mind to mark this thread as closed. There are certain difference we observe in the action pack developed with earlier however these are not promising in terms of if these are something blocking there import in 6.4.

    The change we noticed is missing category in meta-data of the action-pack.

    Gregg is working on it and he will share with you more update around same.

    Regards,

    Saurabh

    Hello Saurabh,

    I was able to import the pack as-is in a freshly installed RA 6.4 on windows. Gregg told me he was able to reproduce the issue in his environment also. I will contact him today to finally resolve the issue.

    Thanks for your support guys!

    Regards,

    Yashar
