What is the predefined options parameter used for?  How do you use it?

Hi Abhraham,

 These parameters are useful in the use case where you want an interaction with user to select appropriate value of parameter, but it is limited with pre-defined options available to them.

 

For example: I have a predefined parameter which take distribution list to send mail to, here I configured 3 options for end user to select form [e-mail], [e-mail] or [e-mail] depending upon scenario he can select 1 of available options.

Yes that helps.  Is it only used for user selection actions within CA RA?

 

I ask because I  am looking to send an email that requires the replacement of certain lined mumbers in the body of the email.

 

For example

Option1:  Line 35

Data : "Text to replace  For Line 35"

 

Option 2: Line 55

Data: "Text to replace for line 55"

 

However I just want to use this internally without having a user select the option.  Can it be used in this type of case?

Hi Abraham ,

 

You can select the parameter scope when creating this type of parameter .

And you can select all four including Internal.
